MSI Wind U270 Netbook Review and Specs

The 11.6-inch netbook from Taiwanese manufacturer has come to a review. A mobile device which is created not only to offer a long battery life for daily tasks like office apps and surfing the internet, but also to bring performance into the surface. The outer case looks elegant with glossy finnish while the inside has some parts made in matt, like the screen’s edge and the touchpad. FOr the connectivity options the U270 has a lot of it, including two USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 ports, VGA and HDMI socket, Kensington Lock, Audio jack consist of mic in and audio out, and all in one Card Reader. It also offers Ethernet Lan and WLan module for networing device. A 720p HD video supported webcam and microphone is built into the display lid. The chiclet keyboard is also present along with touchpad which, unfortunately does not support multitouch feature. The 11.6-inch glossy screen support up to 1366×768 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, MSI Wind U270 packs a dual-core processor, AMD E-Series E-450 which is clocked at 1.65 GHz and integrated AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics with 384 MB (got from the main memory) and clock rate of 500 MHz, 2GB SO-DIMM DDR3-RAM (1333 MHz), 320GB HDD and a 50.28 Wh Lithium-Ion battery which can last two to six hours depend on the usage. Overall the MSI Wind U270 weighs nearly 1.5 kgs and has about 33 mm thick.

The notebook review gives an impressive result thanks to good performance during the benchmark (processing and gaming) which higher compared to other netbook, solid build of the chassis, good cooling which provide the device from overheating, and present of the fast USB 3.0 port and HDMI port. Otherwise, the newcomer of MSI wind lineup has some lacks, including the reflective display, lack of bluetooth, and average battery life which provided by the high power consumption.
